You might remember Jessica and Justin from their engagements. They tied the knot with a bright pink wedding and a movie themed reception including the popcorn!

Vallery and Josh got married on a scorching hot day, but we still managed to get a few shots on the golf course. Note to self: invest in portable fans!

Slowly she tiptoes behind her soon to be husband. He hears her footsteps grow louder. They both breath deep as she taps him on the shoulder. He turns, her eyes light up, and tears of joy stream down his face. This is why we do this.

Lindsay and Ryan's 'first look' set the mood for the entire day. It was a day filled with love and laughter. As a photographer I love nothing more than when you can go to an event and feel welcomed as a friend. Awesome couple, awesome bridal party, great family...enough said.

These two are my type of people. Good lookin, but can still goof; a photographers dream.

Jackson suprised Lindsay with a photoshoot after his recent proposal. Apparently Lindsay is quite the bloodhound for sniffing out these sort of things. So Jackson was forced to take desperate measurses to keep the proposal on the low low until the big moment. I pleaded with him to let me shoot the actually proposal. I made my case of being stealthy and possesing mad ninja skills, he saw through me.

So I crouched down in a broom closet of the hotel waiting to jump out and catch that "just engaged, deer in headlights, did that just happened, oh my gosh I just got engaged" look. Jackson - in hind sight we really should have gotten code names. I would have been "COBRA" or "Steve".

Josh proposed to Vallery at a castle in Ireland, so for sentimental reasons they chose to take their engagement portraits at the Louisiana Castle in Franklinton. This was a change of pace for us as we followed the stylish "king and queen" around for a fun day at the castle.

You may recognize these two. They have been on the blog before, but this time it is for their official engagement pics. As always, they were very fun to work with.

Usually when I blog this late I have to edit it the next day, so I'll keep it short. Lindsay + Ryan = ROCK-Tastic! We could not be more excited about this couple's wedding! Period.

theBooth - ver 2.0

Version 2.0 of theBooth is here baby!

The old booth served us well but it got pretty banged up from getting dragged all over the place. The new version of the booth should weather being thrown around much better. For those of you that do not know, theBooth was designed from the ground up by yours truly. Everything from the custom aluminum enclosure to the software that runs theBooth. It was a VERY long process and a good deal of research went into it. Version 2.0 was mainly cosmetic changes. I had a manufacturing company out of TN cut and machine the aluminum needed to build it, based on my own design. It doesn't quite feel as much like my own invention as the last booth, but I do feel like it is a much needed improvement.

Also we have split theBooth out into it's own division of AHP. It now has its very own website and we are looking at bringing on a few new staff members to help. Exciting stuff. So if you are looking to add theBooth to your next event check out....www.rentthebooth.com!

P.S. theBooth will be @ The Wedding: Event this Thursday!

Jackson can sometimes be sparse on bridal events for the upscale modern bride. That is why we are so excited to be a part of The Wedding: Event. I really feel like this could become "THE" must go to event for Mississippi brides. There are several other bridal "shows" in Mississippi through out the year but everything about The Wedding:Event is slated to be different. We like different. I snagged the description below from their blog.

"The Wedding, an upscale event for the southern bride, is being held Thursday, April 9th, 2009 at highland village, one of Jackson's premiere venues. The Wedding will be a unique event showcasing some of the southeast's finest in the bridal industry. Guests will experience every aspect of a true wedding and reception complete with a champagne toast, cake tasting, delicious hors d'oeuvres, live music, couture bridal fashions, and an exclusive sneak peek at the latest bridal trends in beauty, invitations, photography, and much more. Styled by some of the best event planners, florists and rental companies in the south, The Wedding will be on of Jackson's most fabulous events of the year. So put on your party dress, polish those stilettos, and reserve your place at The Wedding.

Please reserve your space for the most fabulous wedding event of the season. Tickets may be purchased via Pay Pal http://www.theweddingeventms.com/thetickets.html for $50 per participant and will be will call only. You may also purchase tickets at A Southern Affair at Highland Village or Bella Bridesmaids in Ridgeland and will be available for purchase at the door. The Grand Entrance will be located at the South Promenade or the Mason Weiss corridor. "

Alexis and Aaron braved the rainy weather for their engagement session a few weeks ago. It actually never really rained more like a light mist the entire time, but they were troopers and we had a blast.

I am really looking forward to their July 4th wedding. The reception is going to be at PanAsia, which has a very eclectic modern Asian decor and killer food. The whole event is being brought together by Shanna @ A Southern Affair. Having Shanna at the helm is sure to make the event memorable and our lives a lot easier. It's always nice to work on weddings with a dedicated coordinator. Not only do they bring a lot of expertise, but act as a go to problem solver the day of. To top it all off this will be a Jewish wedding which I am super excited about. I am very much looking forward to all the unique traditions of the Jewish ceremony...and oh the Horah!!!

Blog, I have missed you.

In my defense it really doesn't seem like I have not blogged in 3 months. I thought after December we would have a few weeks of "chill" time before things got busy again. WRONG! This year had no start because last year had no end.

If I needed more excuses I could use the fact that Allison was in the hospital for almost a week. That really threw our already crazy schedule for a loop. She is better now. I got a little time to relax. As much as you can relax whilst sleeping on one of those fold out hospital room "beds". I use the quotes very heavily, being that it resembled a medieval torture device more than a bed. I should not complain though, it was Allison who was actually in the hospital. Thanks to everyone who gave their support and prayers.

So, things are getting back to normal. It's about to be the really busy season. I plan to blog more. It was actually a new years resolution. Luckily I go by a fiscal year that doesn't start till the end of the first quarter. So technically I am a day early.
